FOR THREE GENERATIONS, the Royston family has been serving the natural gas industry. Since 1973, Energy Control Systems, Inc. (ECSI) has become the vendor of choice for a wide variety of fabricated piping products. Under the watchful eye of the Royston family since its inception, ECSI has expanded its product line to include a vast assortment of commonly used meter bracketing systems, prefabricated meter bends, pipeline markers, test stations and cathodic protection anodes in addition to a host of specialty items produced to exacting customer specifications.

METER BENDS
Energy Control Systems, Inc. produces a wide variety of pre-fabricated meter bend assemblies. Equipped with hydraulically activated tube forming and bending equipment, ECSI can provide the utility customers with settings specifically engineered for their particular application. All of Energy Control’s meter bend assemblies can be powder coated for enhanced corrosion protection.

METER BRACKETS
ECSI's riser support brackets have been in use in the gas industry for more than twenty-five years. By customer request, we now offer in excess of forty different designs of brackets and drive stakes designed to support gas risers, meter bars or prefabricated meter bend assemblies.

PLANT AND EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES
Energy Control Systems, Inc. operates in a 45,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Its Western Pennsylvania location is ideally positioned to serve the major gas distribution companies throughout the eastern region. ECSI's experienced welders and fabricators can produce products from a wide range of materials.
  • 13 Stamping and forming presses with up to a 290 ton capacity
  • Various press brakes ranging up to a 90 ton capacity
  • Mig and resistance welding equipment
  • Pipe cutting, hydraulic end forming and bending equipment
  • Electrostatic powder coating line (epoxy or polyester coating)






Extensive warehousing capabilities allow ECSI to arrange material stocking programs to meet the specific needs of our customers. Deliveries from Pittsburgh, PA to the major population centers in the east are just one to two days away.
